#24 Movie: Arthur
A fantastic, sweet, and hilarious movie, Arthur is easily one of the greatest films ever. Arthur is one of the few romantic comedies I actually like, as it’s got a very interesting premise. Arthur is the rich, alcoholic heir to his father’s $750 million corporation. However, Arthur has been pampered since birth, and has no idea how to run a company. So his mother makes him marry Susan Johnson, the heir to another big corporation, so that the companies will merge into one big company run by Susan. However, Arthur doesn’t love Susan, but his mother tells him that she will cut him off from his money if he doesn’t marry her. Arthur then meets a working-class Queens waitress named Linda. It’s an interesting story, and certainly worth a watch.
#24 Game: LIMBO
A very simple game, LIMBO is about a little boy looking for his sister in a dark, demonized world. The whole game is stylized in black and white, and is extremely beautiful. It’s also very violent, with decapitation bear traps, a spider with a love of impaling, demon children, and more. Seriously, it’s disturbing. The game has simple controls and simple, environmental puzzles. This is one of the best-selling downloadable games of all time, and was published by Playdead Studios in three different formats (PSN, XBLA, and Steam).
